What are the advantages and disadvantages of high aluminum refractory castables?

2020-04-30 16:56:21

High-alumina refractory castables have a wide range of applications, suitable for heating furnaces, soaking furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, rotary kilns; various high-temperature burner linings, heating furnace water pipe banding linings, parts for refining devices outside molten steel furnaces and catalytic cracking reactions in petrochemical industries The high-temperature wear-resistant lining of the device; the blast furnace taphole, the blast furnace taphole, and the overall powder spray gun for hot metal pretreatment, etc. It can also be used to make large prefabricated blocks and linings. The following Zhengzhou Anrui refractory materials to share with you the main advantages and disadvantages of the castable.

High alumina bauxite aggregate 65-70%, high alumina cement 7-10%, silica fume and alumina powder 5-8%, fine bauxite powder 15-24%, water reducing agent 0.2%, just add some retarder or accelerator according to construction requirements. This ratio is not important, the key is to choose a variety of raw materials and grading, do a good job of matching the use of raw materials, so that the comprehensive performance of refractory castables is the best, all are not fixed, and the quality of raw materials is good or bad The difference is that cement has a grade. Meet the requirements of use, the most important to achieve the expected use effect.

advantage:

1. The construction water consumption is low, usually 6-7% of the refractory castable, so it has high density and low porosity;

2. It has good volume stability at high temperature, although it is a non-burning refractory material, but after drying and calcination, the volume gain decreases;

3. Not only has a high normal temperature curing strength, but also the strength after medium and high temperature treatment does not decrease, the absolute value of the strength is 3-5 times that of traditional refractory castables;

4. The amount of cement is low, and the calcium content in the castable is only 1/4-1/3 of the traditional refractory castable. As a result, the number of low-melting phases in low-cement castables is reduced, so that the high-temperature function can be significantly improved.

Disadvantages:

High-aluminum castables should not be stored for a long time, they will be invalid; this product can only be used in the whole bag, not used within the allowable range, can not be used again; can not increase or reduce the amount of water at will, after casting, curing, oven Do not heat up too fast, these are the shortcomings of high aluminum castables.
